NEP 2020 is based on the principle that Education must develop not only cognitive capacities-both the ‘fundamental capacities’ of literacy & numeracy and ‘higher-order’ cognitive capacities, such as critical thinking & problem solving- but also social, ethical & emotional capacities & dispositions.At MGM Model School, we believe in nurturing the potential within each student, providing a holistic education that grows beyond textbooks & classrooms to cope up with the rapidly evolving changing & challenging world of education.Under the undaunting leadership of our founder, Dr. P K Sukumaran, the School has completed a meritorious journey of 40 years. Our aim is to kindle our Children’s curiosity, interests which further aids in students’ skill development, thereby enhancing students’ personality & character. Maintaining a good mental health is very important for every student as it enables them to handle stress & realize their abilities to face all challenges that comes in their way. In this way they can make their mind strong which I believe is fundamental. We all need to keep learning and practicing new strategies, techniques and ways to teach our children.Parents also play a pivotal role in shaping a child’s personality. “Parents are a child’s first teachers and role models”. Parents need to understand that each child is special & unique in their own way. It is a very challenging job to recognize the talents of their kids & to enable them to reach their full potential. Parental involvement in children's education has been linked to academic readiness. Children need to be cared for in a way that promotes their ability to thrive and ensures their survival and protection from injury and physical and sexual maltreatment.Education without values is like a tree without leaves, no matter how big the tree is. The ultimate aim of MGM Model School is to carve students into better individuals.
