M.G.M Model School, Ayiroor, Varkala is one of the most prestigious projects of the Aykia Pradayini Trust founded by Dr. P. K. Sukumaran, Educationalist, Philanthropist along with a set of selfless, dedicated social workers in 1983. The Silver Jubilee Celebrations of the school were inaugurated by Shri. R.L. Bhatia (the then Kerala Governor) on 2nd October 2007 in the presence of Late Shri. Varkala Radhakrishnan (M.P) and Shri. Varkala Kahar (M.L.A).
