National Cadet Corps, the biggest youth organization is functioning under the Ministry of Defence, Govt. of India. It inculcates discipline and sense of unity and patriotism in youth and trains in defense preparedness.
MGM MODEL SCHOOL has started NCC UNIT 'KERALA Lakshadweep group ONE KERALA BATTALION' on 7th July 2022 with NCC cadets from the junior wing of Class VIII. It functions as a self-Financing scheme with two years of service. 50 students were enrolled (29 boys and 21 girls). After two years of service, cadets will be awarded with 'A' grade certificate. Students are given training on Fridays from 3.00 pm to 5.30 pm with basic military parade, small arms training, drills etc. The Associate NCC officer of MGM is Mr. Binukumar C.
