MGM Model School's 43-year journey began in 1983 with five students, founded by dedicated social workers under Aikya Pradayini Trust's patronage. The late Padmasree Prem Nazeer laid the foundation stone. The school offers classes from standard I to XII, along with pre-school, play school and Kids school programs. The Kids International School, inaugurated by Education Minister Sri. Abdu Rabb in 2012, is a notable addition. The school is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
From humble beginnings in a small rented building, MGM Model School has grown into a full-fledged institution with cutting-edge facilities, including an Innovation Lab, three digital libraries, an audio recording studio (Radio Club), globe, butterfly garden, swimming pools, Happiness corner and 3D Maths Zone. These resources foster curiosity and interest in learning among our 2,700+ students from pre-primary to senior secondary.
Our institution strives to provide international-standard education, leveraging modern technologies and techniques to promote all-round development, character building and 21st-century skills. We also offer opportunities for community service, instilling values in our students.
Notable events include the Silver Jubilee celebrations, inaugurated by the then Kerala Governor Shri. R. L Bhatia in 2007 and valedicted by former President Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam. His equation for knowledge — creativity + righteousness + courage — has become a guiding principle for our creative and value-based learning approach.
We're honored that our innovative 20-20 methodology, initiated by Founder & Trust Secretary Dr. P K Sukumaran, was acknowledged and appreciated by Kerala Governor Shri Arif Mohammed Khan. Our team of qualified and dedicated teachers provides stimulating education, adhering to Mahatma Gandhi's principles and values. Under the guidance of our Founder Dr. P K Sukumaran and the visionary leadership of our Principal, Dr. Pooja S, the school continues to scale new heights.
